Digi-Key's globale salg vokser med 85 procent
Digi-Key oplever kolossal vækst i salget på det globale marked i andet kvartal af 2010 i sammenligning med samme periode sidste år (in english).
Electronic components distributor Digi-Key Corp. has experienced an increase in global sales of nearly 85% for the second quarter of 2010 when compared to second quarter 2009.
- During the first quarter of 2010, Digi-Key's worldwide sales grew by more than 63% over first quarter sales in 2009. From the first quarter to the second quarter of 2010, we have already seen an increase of more than 16% in global sales, says Mark Larson, Digi-Key's president and COO.

As a franchised distributor of more than 440 of the world's leading suppliers of electronic components, Digi-Key has expanded its services to include more than 71 country-specific websites available in 19 languages and 10 currencies; Technology Zones and magazines for Lighting, Microcontrollers, Sensors and Wireless products; the Digi-Key iPhone application that provides access to Digi-Key's broad product offering for iPhone, iPad, and iPod Touch users; new products added daily; and new suppliers, such as recent additions to Digi-Key's line card Bridgelux and Rose+Bopla Enclosures, that recognize Digi-Key's global position.
During the first half of July, Digi-Key's worldwide sales have increased by nearly 89% over the same period in 2009 (July 1-July 16). As of June 30, 2010, worldwide sales increased by more than 74% when compared to sales for January through June of 2009. Additionally, Digi-Key's sales in Russia for the first half of 2010 increased by nearly 120% over sales for January through June of 2009. Sales for the month of June in Russia rose by more than 95% when compared to sales in June 2009.
Other countries that have experience increased sales year over year for January through June 2010 include:
•Brazil – increase of 68.4%
•China – increase of 342.76%
•Estonia – increase of 99.22%
•India – increase of 61.88%
•Japan – increase of 139.92%
•Lithuania – increase of 190.02%
•Mexico – increase of 109.89%
•Slovakia – increase of 224.97%
•Ukraine – increase of 80.74%
- We are excited to see this growth in countries where Digi-Key sales had not been as active previously as they are today, Larson says.
- We anticipate further growth throughout the remainder of 2010 as we continue to add to our broad product offering and educational resources for design engineers around the globe.
